Green tea and coffee may lower the risk of stroke, especially if a mandatory part of your day, according to a Japanese study.

You can take a small, but positive change and help you lower your risk of stroke if every day you add green tea to his diet, he advised Yoshihiro Kokubo from Japan’s National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, also the leader of the study.

His team surveyed more than 83,000 Japanese on their habit of consuming green tea and coffee, and followed them over a period of 13 years.

All respondents were aged between 45 and 74 years, were not suffering from cancer or any disease blood-wire system.

1. People who drank at least one cup of coffee a day had a 20 percent lower risk of stroke, along with respondents who rarely drank this potion.

3. Subjects who drank at least four cups of green tea each day had a 20 percent lower risk of stroke.

Experts are not completely sure how green tea works on the risk of stroke. It is possible that its ingredients catechins provide a certain level of protection, since they have an antioxidant effect.
